Coast Guard Fest 2014 - 1st Up - Quilts, Cars, and Boats

We have our Coast Guard flag flying.

The Lighthouse Quilt Guild show as always displayed some amazing quilts. They show the creator's skills and imagination.  A few I liked.

The car show was very well attended by cars and people.

On Monday the ships came in. Well actually, due to high waves on the big lake, two of them came in Sunday night.

The carnival came to town Monday, too. It opens Tuesday night.

Road America 2014

We had a wonderful time this year at The HAWK with Brian Redman (Vintage Cars). On the way up we stopped south of Milwaukee for the night but drove straight back on the way home (storms were coming).

Of course, we had to stop for some Wisconsin cheese curds for snacking at the track.

We also went to Kohler. The company has amazing products and an interesting history.

Elkhart Lake is beautiful.
